First Week Teaching
Well my first week of teaching is officially over. I must say I have learned so many things I can't begin to list them all. For one no one ever told me how busy first year teachers are. Another (that i was told but never believed) is that teaching is anything but a 8-4 job, more like a 7 in the morning to 8 at night job. It's not all bad though, I have definitely learned my share of positives as well. One thing being the individuality of the students. Each one being unique and able to teach me different things.

Rockfest
I just got back from Rockfest in Kansas City. Simply awesome, over 50,000 people crammed together rocking out to 15 bands. This was my fourth year in a row going and I have to say Korn was freaking amazing. This band knows how to play. It was funny because one of the opening bands, Crooked X, closed with the same song as Korn. They both played a cover of "Another Brick in the Wall." Hearing these two bands play the same song just shows the different levels that they play on...not surprising though considering Crooked X is a band of 15 year olds and Korn has been a band for over 15 years. The truth is I don't go only for the concert if it wasn't for my brother who goes with me every year this concert wouldn't mean as much to me. Spending the weekend together is pretty sweet. I'll never forget the times we have together...getting a bloody nose from laughing so hard at 3:30 in the morning for example. 2 songs man....enough said

Hey everyone, the other week I was offered and accepted the business position at Shelton High School. Looks like I'll be a bulldog!
